Hello, All. I am a librarian with over 13 years of experience working across public, School, and University libraries in South Korea and Vietnam.
Work Experience
- Kongju National University 2021-Present
- Coordinated user education, collection management, and reading promotion programs to enhance student engagement and information literacy.
- Korean International School library 2018-2021
- Managed a K–12 international school library in Vietnam, providing information literacy programs and expanding community access to library resources.
- Paju Public library(Central) 2012-2017
- Experience in diverse library services including user programs, collection management, and community outreach programs.
What I Hope to Gain from This Program
Through the Mortenson Center Associates Program, I hope to gain practical ideas and global perspectives on how libraries can remain relevant and impactful in a rapidly changing environment.
The 2026 theme, “Poised for Impact: Data, User, Strategy-Driven Libraries,” strongly resonates with my professional interests. In particular, I am interested in exploring:
- How academic libraries can better support teaching, learning, and research
- The evolving role of libraries in the age of AI
- Innovative programs and services that respond to changing user needs
- Support services for international students and diverse user communities
