Final week reflection

Tours : Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Abraham Lincoln’s House, Illinois State Library

Sessions : Machine Learning and AI, Assessment

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum

On Monday, we went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and Abraham Lincoln’s House. Abraham Lincoln a self-taught lawyer, legislator, and vocal opponent of slavery, was elected 16th president of the United States in November 1860, shortly before the outbreak of the Civil War.

Abraham Lincoln’s House was really great, and I heard many people visit the house every year. I was honored to go there because many people think Abraham Lincoln is a great leader because he was a vocal opponent of slavery.

Assessment

On the Final day, we made a presentation, I introduced the National Library of Korea(NLK) with focusing on international cooperation. In order to enhance understanding and build a network among Korean studies librarians, the NLK holds workshops for overseas Korean studies librarians every year. Additionally, to promote Korean culture and Korean studies, the NLK has implemented the Window on Korea Project. The NLK has been running the project in cooperation with foreign embassies, cultural centers and other stakeholders. I am in charge of the 2022 Overseas Korean Studies Librarians workshop. so I want to share some information with international librarians.

During the Mortenson program, I learned a great deal. In particular, I’m deeply interested in digital scholarship and user experienced design. Furthermore, I learned about machine learning, AI, digital Scholarship, and design thinking. I was also impressed by the team’s passion. I’m very thankful to Clara, Katie, Barbara, Amani, Laura, Olga, and 2022 Mortenson Program associates.

Thank you so much for everything. Goodbye all and see you again !
