My Final reflection

Millions of Thanks

I cant believe that today is the last day in the Mortenson Center program after enthusiasm, hard work and curiosity to find out more and more information in the field of libraries science and information with wide amount of valuable information we have obtained and the high standard level of the libraries that we visited, let alone the level of services offered in the united state.

It was really a very unique experience Im so proud of myself to be the first Bahraini woman to come to this distinguished program i have learned and benefited a lot sometimes i feel that the information is many which distracted my thinking of how much valuable information we gained.

while my presence in this program i lived a very beautiful feeling in Newman hall and i went back to school days at university and restored the most beautiful memories of university housing.

I had the honor to meet colleagues from different nationalities. i met Soohyun from south Korean, Helen from Nigeria, Ahmed from Kyrgyzstan, Amanda from Spain, Seham from Kuwait and Monica from Brazil who cooked a Brazilian dish called Galinada. we enjoyed our dinner with Dr. Barbara the former director, Dr. Clara the director of the Mortenson Center, Catalina, Coorteny and we missed Jane Hahnouna with us. We spent the most beautiful moments with Michael, memories of his tours in the Arab countries and he was speaking little Arabic.

Also we enjoyed ourselves with a variety of dishes from different countries and tasted the taste of Arabic coffee and had the dish Balaliat with the fragrant Cambodian oud and exchange talk. still can not believe that we have completed all the required tasks of preparing action plans, presentations, bloggers etc…

I feel very enthusiastic for the graduation ceremony and receipting my certificate.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks; first of all, to Naseej Academy and The Mortenson Center for providing me this unique opportunity to participate in the 2019 mortenson Associates Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigan in the United States for a month. Thank you also go to Clara Chu, Jean Kanengoni, Catoalina Hernandez and Courtney Horry.

Not to forget, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid AlKhalifa the Executive Director of the Board of Trustees of Isa Cultural Center, Dr. Mansoor Sarhan, the director of the National library of Bahrain, Nasser Mohammed, Chief of public services, Manal Alqisi, Chief of the technical services as well as my husband Majeed Alnayem for encouraging and supporting me to contribute to the development of the cultural edifice to be the first Bahraini woman to be honored by the Naseej Academy and SLA-AGC Grantto attend the Mortenson Center Associates Program
