DiSC Workshop

On May 25th,  The DiSC workshop was held all day.

We completed a series of questions the day before and got the detailed report about my personality and behavior at workplace. Also, we received tips related to working with people of other styles.

We had a time to learn the other style and discuss how to deal with their behavior.

What is the DiSC?

The DiSC profile, published by Wiley, is a tool used for discussion of people’s behavioral differences at work.

What is My style?

My style is High S. (Keyword: Even-tempered, Accomodation, Patient, Humble, Tactful) High S’s want others to be relaxed, agreeable, cooperative and appreciative.

Do I agree with the results?

I totally agree with the S style. At the work, I am a good listener and cooperative person who take pride in doing my part to help people. I don’t want to have any conflict with others.

I’m rookie at the workplace. My duty is supporting to our team. After 10 years, I will get the other style. Because I will be a leader and try to lead the people and make a decision than to help others.

What could I learned?

I learned 3 things.

First, I learned a lot about myself. How I respond to conflict, What motivates me, and how solve problems.

Second, I learned about how to improve working relationships by recognizing the communication needs of team members.

Third, I got a many tips that help me more effectively with others in my work place. After back to my country, I will try to get my own opinion and show a willingness to analyze the details rather than just going with the flows.

The last thing I want to say

I recommend that people should get a DiSC to understand others well at work.

In particular, Leaders can manage employees and team members more effectively by understanding the disposition. They can become more self-knowledgeable, well-rounded and effective leaders.
