WOW!!!!
I love this library, I love the delivery of its director Don W. Barlow; I love how they’re interested in their users.
During all my learning in the university, we’re taught that the user is the most important thing in libraries, but it’s one thing to say it and another very different to live in an experience like this.
Libraries as public, university and school institutions, should be a space for academic formation through interaction and reciprocal, dynamic, critical, creative interaction between knowledge and research to approach its users, through projects, activities, Services and projects.
Librarians should be able to recognize the importance of education, in its various forms, for all children, young people, adults and the elderly. For this, the services provided in libraries must be portals of knowledge and culture, offering access to information, ideas and innovation.
Many times what the library offers its users, is reflected in lifelong learning, where they can make decisions and develop culturally; improves educational and social skills, to generate democratic participation.
Many thanks to Westerville Public Library, to open the doors of your library and show us an incredible world within this institution, which breaks schemes and should be a constant example of our countries.
“Remember the two benefits of failure. First, if you do fail, you learn what doesn’t work; and second, the failure gives you the opportunity to try a new approach.”
